Welcome to Rustic Roots XI!!! Please email Andy with any questions. We're going to have a truly amazing year in 2022 at Everson Ranch.

Arrival is anytime Wednesday, June 13th (or after). Departure is Tuesday, July 19th in the morning or early afternoon. Early arrivals and late departures are possible - email Andy! Leaving camp and coming back is fine. Arriving late or departing early is fine.

Address for camp is 29398 County Road 61, Moffat, CO 81143. Make sure your directions are together before you reach the San Luis Valley ... cell phone service is extremely spotty in the valley and en route. Download or print the following in case you need directions: Recommended route from Denver area is 285 South. When you reach Poncha Springs you are 33 minutes from camp. This is your last best chance at a gas station, convenience store, breweries that sell their own cans (and a winery), and a liquor store. Nearby Salida is a much bigger town. When you arrive at camp, we are in the middle of nowhere!

Continue on 285-South from Poncha Springs into the San Luis Valley. The turn you are looking for is CO-17/Alamosa/Great Sand Dunes/Joyful Journey Hot Springs. Take a left onto 17 and bear left to continue onto County Road GG. You will cross over 3 cattle guards, pass many single shoes on posts, then take a right on County Road 61. Everson Ranch will now be your first left. (Likely to be a sign about closed to the public... that's because it's all for us!) "Past 3 cattle guards - follow the shoes - and turn right - to get to Rustic Roots"

- Great Sand Dunes National Park
- rock climbing (sport climbing in Penitente Canyon - bring harness, shoes, helmet)

Cell reception is poor, but you can likely make a call if you stand near the correct tree. Wifi is available but the speed is not world-class.

Food! Campfire, stove, oven, high heat recycled methane grill, and camp stoves are all options for cooking. If you have a camp stove, bring it! There are vegetables available in the garden (exact details TBA). If you need 25 sweet potatoes, bring them) There are some cooking utensils and pots and pans - however if you have something you cannot cook without, definitely bring that. Kitchen pans are not high end. Important things like meat and dairy can be stored in the kitchen fridge, but please bring a cooler for your drinks and buy ice throughout the week. Freezer space is available!

Breakfast and lunch are on your own / collaborate. Dinner is an epic potluck of everyone’s favorite dishes and collaborative food-jams.

More things to remember:
- Proper layering is a fine art
- Bottle for whiskey rock (stump)
- Weird fish for "awful fish night"
- Plan for glamping... If you are going to want something, bring it!
- Bring cash for ice runs! Keep beverages in a cooler.
